In thinking about houses and how people live today, AEG Associates has incorporated
the philosophy of Sarah Susanka’s Not So Big House in its design philosophy. Efficient
use of space, attention to details that make space more livable, open floor plans and
green materials are among the aspects of design for which AEG Associates is known.

Al Graf, principal in AEG Associcates, believes in livable spaces. His own house in Annapolis is a good example. He supports the incorporation of many of the principles of Universal Design for clients who are interested in aging in place. His designs are both modern and historic, and often incorporate both in one functional design.
